Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne was a glorious celebration of everything we love about our region. Its beautiful parks, bustling streets and public spaces came alive with colour and conversation, as our collection of individually designed and painted Peter Rabbit sculptures brought joy (and a little bit of mischief) throughout the summer of 2026.
For nine weeks, 96 colourful sculptures inspired by Peter Rabbit captured hearts across Newcastle and North Tyneside
Following the public trail, the large Peter Rabbits will be auctioned off to raise vital funds and awareness of St Oswald’s Hospice, allowing the charity to continue their vital work with North East families with life-limiting conditions.

Introducing ‘Peter Rabbit in the Garden’, an exclusive sculpture created in collaboration with the Emma Bridgewater team and inspired by the beautiful Emma Bridgewater x Peter Rabbit™ collection. 🐰
Emma Bridgewater Senior Designer Sophie Gilmour worked with artist @jina_gelder_illustration to bring the new spongeware design to life in a completely unique way. Created to celebrate 160 years since the birth of Beatrix Potter, the design features Peter Rabbit alongside Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail, surrounded by beautiful geraniums and, of course, plenty of radishes! 🌺
The result is a very special sculpture that brings together the timeless charm of Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit with the distinctive and much-loved style of Emma Bridgewater.
And that’s not all! 👀
The winning bidder of Lot 33 will also take home a wonderful selection of pieces from the Peter Rabbit™ Garden collection, including mugs, cereal bowls, plates, a tea towel and bunting, worth more than £200.

The fluffle may no longer be decorating our streets, parks and public spaces, but its not the last you have seen of them! They’ll be cleaned, polished and made ready for the Farewell Weekend, where you’ll have one last chance to see the whole fluffle together before they hop off to their new homes! 🏡

Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne has officially come to an end, and from today our fluffle of bunnies will begin hopping away from the streets, parks and landmarks they’ve called home throughout the summer.
But don’t worry…this isn’t the end of the tale just yet! 👀
Our @officialpeterrabbit sculptures are heading back to their burrows for a little TLC before their big moment at the Farewell Weekend at Newcastle Civic Centre. For one last hop-portunity, you’ll be able to see all 96 sculptures together, alongside six brand-new, never-before-seen rabbits who will be joining the auction the following Tuesday.

We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been part of the journey.
