Our design was inspired by the beautiful illustrations of writer, scientist and conservationist Beatrix Potter.
The children studied the artwork of Beatrix Potter, both her book illustrations and her lesser known botanical illustrations. We discussed her keen interest in the natural world and used this as inspiration for our design. Our design celebrates our favourite characters and the bounty Mr McGregor’s garden provided for them.
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
