Our design was inspired by the uniform and badges of Girlguiding and our village.

The girls wanted our rabbit to wear uniform, so we decided to split him and have half Rainbow and half Brownie uniform, as well as our unit neckerchief which all members in Heddon-on-the-Wall wear. We talked about which badges we thought Peter Rabbit would earn if he was a Rainbow or Brownie, as well as which badges we associated with Peter Rabbit and Beatrix Potter.

On the back of our sculpture, we included a tree with the top awards for each section, to show how the girls grow, as well as Hadrian’s Wall and the Victrix sculpture which are key landmarks in our village.
