Bethan Laker is an illustrator, known for her wonky line, bright colours and love of pattern. She loves working collaboratively, using workshops to gather ideas and spark creativity, creating work that’s full of shared character, humour and joy.
Hopping to Get On Board was created with EMG Solicitors and their Darlington team, inspired by the North East’s railway heritage, from Darlington’s Locomotion No. 1 to the region’s wider story of rail innovation. This sleepy-but-excited bunny captures that can’t-wait feeling the night before a big adventure. With gentle nods to travel, imagination, and journeys near and far, it’s a track-tastic reminder of the joy in looking forward to what’s just around the bend – full steam ahead for a hoppy trip!
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
