David Maguire has lived in the North East for almost 25 years and has worked in visitor centres, museums and contemporary art galleries across the region. Since completing a BA and MA in Glass and Ceramics, David’s work and interests have shifted more towards design and graphics.
Hoppy-Go-Lucky is a rainbow in rabbit form. Every shape looks soft and rounded, as if the rabbit was carefully put together from a tapestry of happy thoughts. The hearts and stars are little reminders that love, acceptance and hope can live anywhere, even in the smallest and most surprising places.
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
