This design depicts a historic Durham Miners Gala, now in its 140th year. Showing the Colliery bands in procession over the Old Elvet Bridge and a floodlit Durham Cathedral, creating the perfect back drop to showcase the progress and evolution of the wider North East over the years. A reflection of the strength of community, inclusivity and investing in our future.
