Our design was inspired by Prudhoe as a town and the adders which were around the school area in the mining industry.
The children engaged in a collaborative discussion regarding the local identity of Prudhoe. Drawing upon their historical studies of the town’s mining heritage, they explored the prevalence of adders in the region during that era, a significant local factor that inspired the naming of Adderlane Academy.
Thank you to Fenwick for sponsoring this sculpture.
