Peter in the Garden, by Emma Bridgewater Ltd, makers of hand decorated pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, was inspired by the traditional spongeware pattern that will appear on an upcoming collection.
Emma Bridgewater’s Senior Designer, Sophie Gilmour, collaborated with artist Jina Gelder to bring the original spongeware design to life on this sculpture. Inspired by Beatrix Potters original Painting Book, we hid the four little rabbits – Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail & Peter amongst sweet geraniums and radishes.

Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
