Darren Mundy has been painting professionally for 15 years. He works from the adjoining studio within his art gallery in Whitley Bay where you can see him creating his latest paintings.
The felling of Northumberland’s Sycamore Gap tree in 2023 was felt by many people. The artist has previously painted the tree both before and after its felling and wanted to use his design to pay respect to the tree once again.
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
