Julia Stafford set up Julia Dobson Design & Illustration in 2002. JDDI provides corporate identities, printed materials, interactive trails and websites, often incorporating illustrations. Julia has painted several sculptures for St Oswald’s Hospice, including a collaboration with a local school for Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne in 2023.
Meadow of Memories is decorated with hundreds of hand-painted leaves, each one bearing the name of a loved one, as a lasting and meaningful in-memory tribute.
Meadow of Memories will leave behind a special legacy long after the trail has ended. It will help St Oswald’s Hospice to continue providing expert care and support, free of charge, to local people and families facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives. All money raised through tribute donations will support the hospice’s vital work. Thank you to everyone who has remembered their loved one in this special way.
After the trail ends, the sculpture will return to St Oswald’s Hospice and take its place in one of the beautiful gardens – becoming a forever tribute to the special people we love and miss.
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
