Thank you to everyone to our schools, youth and community groups
The Trail Learning Programme, sponsored by Northumbrian Water, resulted in 53 little Peter Rabbit sculptures being lovingly decorated by some very imaginative and talented young people, from schools, youth and community groups from across the region.
These smaller but perfectly formed Peter rabbit-inspired characters are4 displayed in ‘fluffles’ inside indoor venues across Newcastle and North Tyneside.
The Learning Programme sculptures definitely gave their bigger counterparts a run for their money, with a range of themes illustrating what is important to young people.
After the trail ends, all the little sculptures will; be returned to those who created them, to love and keep forever.

A huge well done to the family and friends of Conlan who took on the trail last weekend, raising vital funds @stoswaldsuk 💙🐰
Conlan, who died in 2023, aged 14, loved to get out and about and especially enjoyed collecting sculptures on previous art trails.
Lee, Conlan’s dad, said:
“We felt it was a fitting tribute to our son to complete this art trail together, using some of Conlan’s favourite modes of transport: the bus, the Metro and bike. We decided to make it into more of a challenge, splitting into 3 teams each travelling on a different vehicle, racing each other to the finish line.”
The group included Conlan’s parents, his two brothers, his cousin alongside his carer Nick, and Nick’s wife, Judy. Together, they have raised over £1800.

We took them on a tour of our city centre and Quayside sculptures in the sunshine and tomorrow, we will join them for a workshop to hop into all things art trail! 🎨🧑🎨

Just a few days into the trail, and some of our intrepid explorers have already hopped to the finish line! 🐰🏆
We were delighted to meet Cath and Edward, who travelled all the way from Birmingham to take part in #TalesOnTheTyne.
They popped into Trail HQ at the @thespacebystoswaldshospice in Ouseburn to collect their finisher certificates and stickers. A huge congratulations to them, and to everyone else who has completed the trail or is well on their way to finding all 96 @officialpeterrabbit sculptures! Everybun is doing an amazing job! 🙌
