As trail launch day draws closer, we were delighted to welcome our Tales on the Tyne artists, sponsors and partners to Quorum Park for a very special preview event.
Here, all 96 big and little sculptures, inspired by Peter Rabbit™, were displayed together for the very first time as invited guests arrived ready for the big reveal.
While the designs will remain under wraps to the public until Wednesday 15 July, this event marked the first time the now-finished artworks had been viewed by anyone outside the St Oswald’s Hospice team. The reactions were every bit as fantastic as we had hoped, and it seemed as though everyone had a different favourite!

Next up for our fluffle is installation time, when each sculpture will be attached to a concrete plinth and fitted with its name and sponsor plaques. Then they will begin their journey to their temporary summer holiday homes, where they will spend nine weeks delighting visitors of all ages.
