Our design was inspired by nature, the environment and Beatrix Potter’s illustrations.
The design process at NPS began with an assembly and class investigation work into the themes, colour palettes and content of Beatrix Potter’s work. The key ideas which resonated were those of nature and the environment. Every child in school then completed their own design which were combined to make a nature-inspired patchwork with our emblematic bees, proudly showing our school colours. Our Year 6 artists helped to produce our final piece.
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
