Our design was inspired by building resilience, confidence, and aspiring to be the best we can be.

The sculpture was created as a whole school project, with every child contributing to Peter Rabbit. Inspired by The Dot by Peter Reynolds, which explores creativity, confidence, and resilience, the sculpture celebrates individuality and aspiration. Each child made their own dot and added a signature, with some children hiding carrot shapes within their dots, inviting the audience to search and discover as many as they can.

Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction

The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.

Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
