Our design was inspired by the way our school promotes STEM across the curriculum.
In lessons, the children discussed what they could do as a design for our rabbit related to STEM (science, technology engineering and maths). They looked at various images for inspiration and generated their own designs using their artistic skills. The children wanted their designs to bring STEM to life on our sculpture. They also wanted their designs to reflect our school and the things we do at George Washington to promote STEM.
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
