Arty Joe has worked as a professional landscape artist in Whitley Bay for 8 years. He takes his inspiration from the ever-changing skies and light at the coast and the huge variety of stunning architecture in the North East, steeped in memories and history. He likes to create more illustrative works which capture a feeling or an idea. He has held multiple solo exhibitions and his work is held in private collections worldwide.
This design is a celebration of the river Tyne and many of our famous local landmarks, including our region’s iconic bridges by moonlight, painted in purples and oranges. This is then contrasted with a sunny blue sky and sea at the Mouth of the Tyne making up Peter Rabbit’s jacket.
