Daniel J. Weatheritt uses his distinctive graphic style to deliver unique designs and illustrations to his ever-growing portfolio of public and private sector clients, as well as developing his own book projects and diverse creative interests. Drawing is the foundation of every project and he loves designing for print, producing handwritten typography and favours traditional working methods and materials, including wood carving, clay and assemblage.
A collaboration between artist Daniel and Year 4 & 5 pupils at Hilton Primary Academy, Patchwork Peter celebrates the beauty and movement of water, represented through a broad range of illustrated patterns and brought to life using acrylic paint and coloured pencils. Horizontal wavy banding running along Peter’s body allows for successful integration of many of the children’s graphic ideas, his jacket emblazoned with badges and fragmented into patches depicting water themed scenes.
