Bethan Laker is an illustrator, known for her wonky line, bright colours and love of pattern, hopping into each project as a new adventure. Alongside commercial illustration, she designs and sells playful products and runs Big Draw events that bring people together through making. She loves working collaboratively, using workshops to gather ideas and spark creativity, creating work that’s full of shared character, humour and joy.
Happy Bunny is a joyful, sport-loving lass created in collaboration with young people from the FAR Centre and inspired by the theme “Best Summer Ever.” With a love for football and dreams of cheering on the Lionesses, this lively design brings together bright colours, playful patterns, and hints of nature to celebrate adventure, friendship, and time spent outdoors. It’s a hoppy reminder that getting active, exploring the world around us, and sharing moments together can help every bunny feel a little happier!
Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne Grand Finale Auction
The finale event of Tales on the Tyne will see the sculptures under the spotlight one last time, finding their forever homes at auction.
Almost all of the large sculptures will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular, with funds raised supporting the work of St Oswald’s Hospice. There will also be a live online auction running in sync with the ‘in the room’ bids, which is guaranteed to build the excitement and healthy competition to snap up one of these unique pieces of art.
